SJI Sisters started as a diocesan congregation in the 1950s. Since then, the sisterhood of Catholic African religious women grew. Now, we have more than 250 professed sisters engaging in various apostolic work of the church.
The main office of our organization is in Gweru City, helping more than 61 communities of sisters within four dioceses: Masvingo and Gweru in Zimbabwe, Chimoio in Mozambique, and one in the United States.
